Every person wishes to have a home of his dreams that he can decorate as per his choices and interests. Though, there are many features in a home that appeals people but the most important among all is windows that bring a person closer to the outer world. The windows also allow sun’s rays to stream into the room making it bright and clear. A wonderful view of the outside world can also be enjoyed through this vista. Many times, we are unable to watch our favourite TV programs due to sun glare falling on it, the same problem can be seen on the computers. This distracts us and we are not able to enjoy or work. The Ultra Violet rays emitted in sun rays is very harmful for the health. Prolonged exposure to these harmful rays can also result in myriad health problems including skin cancer. When we are at home, we do not pay much attention to the harmful sun rays that enters inside our room causing possible damage to our skin. The exposure to the sun can be reduced by 90 percent by using tints on windows.
The homes being constructed in recent times have tinted windows but in the traditional homes, it becomes difficult to have tinted windows. If glasses are fitted in these windows, it becomes easier to tint them but in absence of glasses one has to make do with heavy drapes to block sunlight.
